Jewellery by Katrina started 5 years ago when I took a notion while walking along the beach at Tighnabruaich looking at all the gorgeous stones and shells thinking “There must be something you can do with these…” and there it began and here I am 6years on having turned a hobby into a full-time business.
I work from home in The Scottish Borders, but I draw both my inspiration and materials from all over the world - sourcing beads from USA, Philippines, Hong Kong and now Zimbabwe.
I make a range of styles of jewellery so that I can say - hopefully - I have something for everyone! Recently I have started designing brass and copper jewellery which I have made out in Zimbabwe. I work directly with the work shop out there as this means that they are paid on a Fair Trade basis, not involving any third party.
The Fibre Necklaces I make can be co-ordinated with almost any colour scheme - whether its for an outfit or for that Special Day!! I can also use material from wedding or bridesmaids dresses and incorporate this in the pieces.
I have a new range for 2010 - gorgeous handmade ceramic beads on soft rubber necklaces - simple statement pieces in a range of colourways with co-ordinating earrings.
If you are interested in stocking my range of jewellery please contact me and I will send you a trade price list.
Jewellery Parties
I also do Jewellery Parties - or Coffee mornings! This has proved to be a lot of fun, what better than shopping in your living room with friends and coffee! The bonus for the hostess is that she earns commission on the sales made which can mean a lovely freebie at the end of the party! Contact me for details.
I try to offer a range of jewellery that has that “something different“ quality, have a look and see what you think!
